Toni Hux got the dangerous or not portion correct. So Sabra, Phillip, and Hawk are tied for first place with two points while Toni is in second with one point!

Hey everyone. The goal here is to create a list that includes links and brief descriptions of Apps that would be useful for preppers. The important thing is for each of these apps to be related to prepping or survival and most importantly all of these apps are FREE on the apple store. If you click on the picture posted for each app it will bring you to app store to download that particular app.

Emergency Preparedness, Survival Guide, Planning for Disaster
This app is one of the best free apps for preps. The SAS Survival Guide-Lite is brought to you by John "Lofty" Wiseman. For a free app this one is definitely a great download. If you do wind up enjoying this app there is a $5.99 full version but I think for most needs this free version will suffice.

Here is today's Dangerous or Not Trivia question for today. Is the snake to the left dangerous or not? This snake is fairly common and ranges from the East coast to Central Texas. It's also well known for a distinctive physical characteristic which gives it it's nickname!

So far this month no one has gotten a trivia question correct and the contest can be one by anyone! Let's keep hearing your answers and remember the prize for this month is a copy of The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks! His other book World War Z inspired the recent movie!

Ok everyone, no one got the Dangerous or Not Trivia Question correct. So the monthly point total is unchanged! We had a good guess though!

The snake in the picture to the left is an Eastern Hog-nose Snake! The snake is totally harmless despite being rear-fanged. The saliva it emits is not toxic to humans. If threatened it might strike, but rarely bites, more of slamming it's head against you. If that fails it will roll over and play dead. They are also semi-common as pets! One key tip to identifying an Eastern hog-nose snake is it's nose. It's a very blunt snout, hence the name hog-nose. You can see the snout of a captive eastern hog-nose clearly in the picture below.

Welcome to the new round of Dangerous or Not Emergency Preparedness Trivia! For those of you that are new here are the rules. I'll post a picture and from that time you have 24 hours to correctly identify the plant or animal and post your answer here in the comments section. If you get both the name of the animal and whether it's dangerous or not you will receive two points. If you get either the animal or whether it's dangerous or not you get one point. If you get both wrong you get no points! Whoever has the most points at the end of the month wins a prize!
